Malia Gallegos

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), Certified Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) Practitioner, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Certified Laban Movement Analyst. I hold an MA in Somatic Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and a BA from Hampshire College. I am a member of IAEDP, CAMFT, ISSTD, USABP, and VFED. My areas of specialization are trauma, relational issues, and eating disorders.

I have 8 years of eating disorder treatment experience at all levels of care including inpatient, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient.  I offer support for individuals and couples. The recovery process is complex, so I approach the whole person with the trauma as primary supported by my skills as an eating disorder trained therapist. 

I currently offer private practice sessions in Atwater Village, very conveniently located near the 5 Freeway, Silverlake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Glendale, and Hollywood.
